Meet Us

Travis Ty Burge - Artistic Director

Travis founded Moonlight Directions in the summer of 2011 in an effort to encourage youth to follow their passion for the arts and help them to obtain the skills necessary to pursue a career in Musical Theater. He studied Musical Theater at Wayland Baptist University, and joined the Lubbock Moonlight Musicals company in 2007; performing in several of their shows. Some favorite roles he has performed are: Phantom in "Phantom of the Opera", Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," Enjolras in "Les  Miserables," Billis in "South Pacific," and Shrek in "Shrek the Musical." He is pursuing a career in Musical Theater, but loves the opportunity to work with some of Lubbock's most talented youth. "The best testament of this group is that all of the youth involved are starring as leads in all of the area high school musical productions, as well as LMM's main stage, and choosing to share in my passion by pursuing a career in Musical Theater themselves."

Ann Marie Nichols - Music Director

Annie co-founded Moonlight Directions in 2011 in hopes to give more opportunities to the talented young artists in Lubbock. It has been her life-long dream to help singers find their voice and inner performer, and MD provides that opportunity everyday. Annie holds a Masters of Music from Texas Tech University where she had numerous performance opportunities with Amarillo Opera, the AC Concert Choir and award winning Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Civic Chorus, the TTU University Choir and Madrigal Singers, the Lubbock Chorale, as well as performances with TTU Music Theatre and Dinner Theatre. In 2010, she made her debut as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and in 2012, she was chosen as a young artist at the Taos Opera Institute. Annie's first performance with Lubbock Moonlight Musicals was in 2010. Favorite performances with LMM include Eponine in Les Miserables, Grizabella in Cats, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Woman in Marry Me a Little, Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Ursula in The Little Mermaid and most recently Kala in Disney's Tarzan.
